Mowing, edging, weeding, bed care and hedge trimming on a set day, so the yard is never something you have to think about.
Lawn and garden care is the service most of our customers end up on. It is a standing visit rather than a one off job. The same crew comes on the same day, does the whole round, and leaves. You do not have to book it, chase it or be home for it.
A visit covers the lawn, the beds and the edges. We mow at the right height for the season, edge the lawn against paths and driveways, weed the beds by hand, cut back what has finished flowering, top up mulch where it has thinned and blow every hard surface clean before we leave.
Growing seasons on the Sunshine Coast are long and wet. Grass here keeps growing well into November most years, and moss will take a lawn over in a single winter if nothing is done. That is why a set schedule beats calling somebody when the yard has already got away on you. It is far cheaper to hold a garden than to rescue one.
How big is the lawn, how many beds, and how tidy do you want it kept. We ask about hedges, because they set the schedule as much as the grass does.
Most homes are weekly through spring and summer and every second week either side of that. We tell you which day the crew will come.
One number per visit, with everything above included. No charge for green waste, no charge for the blow down.
Same trucks, same faces, same phone number. If something needs doing that is outside the round, we tell you before we do it.
Price per visit depends on the size of the lawn, how many beds there are, how much hedging is on the property and how often we come. A small level lot with one lawn and two beds is a short visit. An acreage with long borders, hedging on three sides and a slope to mow takes most of a morning.
Visiting more often usually costs less per visit, not more. A lawn cut every week takes a fraction of the time of the same lawn cut every third week, because the growth never gets ahead of the mower and the clippings stay small enough to leave.
We come and look at the property, then give you a written price per visit and a start date. There is no charge for that visit and there is no contract you cannot get out of.
Every community on the Sunshine Coast has its own ground, its own weather and its own trees. Here is how this work usually looks in the three places we are called out to most.
Gibsons lots are often small, steep and terraced, with more retaining wall and stair than open lawn. That changes the work. There is less mowing and much more edging, hand weeding and blowing down, and a lot of the growth has to be carried up to the truck rather than wheeled. We price Gibsons rounds on the whole property rather than on lawn area alone.
Roberts Creek is where the big lawns are. Properties run to half an acre and more, often ringed with second growth trees that shade one side of the grass and drop needles on it all year. Moss control and lawn recovery are a bigger part of the work here than anywhere else on our round, and most Roberts Creek gardens want a bark mulch top up every spring.
Sechelt is the dry end of the Coast. Lawns there go brown in July in a way they do not in Gibsons or Roberts Creek, so we cut higher through the summer to hold moisture in and keep the crowns shaded. The newer Sechelt subdivisions tend to have small, tidy lots with a lot of ornamental shrub, which suits a shorter visit on a tight weekly schedule.
We also run regular garden rounds in Langdale, Wilson Creek, Davis Bay, Halfmoon Bay, Secret Cove, Madeira Park, Garden Bay, Pender Harbour and Egmont.
Most homes are weekly from about April to September and every second week in spring and autumn. We set the schedule with you and we tell you the day. If your property is mostly beds and hedging rather than lawn, a fortnightly round often works all year.
No. The crew works from the schedule and lets themselves through a gate. Most of our customers are not home when we come.
Yes. Grass, clippings, weeds and prunings all leave with the crew, and the disposal is in the price.
Yes. A one off cleanup is a common way to start, especially on a garden that has been left for a season. Plenty of people book one, see the difference and then go onto a regular round.
Grass on the Coast keeps growing into November and starts again in March, so the round does not really stop, it just slows down. Through the quiet months we switch the visits to leaf clearing, moss control, hedge work and bed preparation.
Most people start with one job. Once we are on the property, it is usually easier to have one crew handle the rest of it too.
Crown thinning, deadwood, view pruning and roof clearance by certified arborists.
Driveways, patios, decks and siding brought back after a wet Coast winter.
Hazard trees, storm damage and stumps taken out and ground below grade.
Tell us what you need done. We will come out, take a look at it and give you a price in writing. There is no charge for that.
